It’s Friday and things are rather better. I wrote:
“I’ve been thinking about this for some time.
What is *really* involved in the concept of “be happy”?
One thing that I think is truly sad is some folks (which did include me in the past) think that you must abandon people who do not believe what you do .
We’re talking politics, or international situations, or womens/gays/minorities/
And while that sounds oh-so-glorious in a virtuous way…
See, everyone is made up of so much more than their 4,382 different beliefs.
How do you pick and choose what would be a deal-killer for you in friendship/relationships?
You know – life is *short*. It truly is. And choosing to banish prior deeply important relationships because of *some* other beliefs…
Really and truly decide if that act of righteousness will benefit you NOW and in the future…
Or if what you end up losing ends up being far more hurtful than the original equation.
Your takeaway? Realize that your ideas are NOT the be-all and end-all of all that is Good and Right and Justice-League worthy.
And be very careful with who you decide to cut cords.
The long-term effects could be very damaging indeed… and might not be something you consider during the heat of the moment.

“I have discovered that one does their greatest writing (okay, that *I* do my greatest writing) during times of great pain/angst/etc.
Because when you’ve finally reached that level of self-awareness… you really do choose not to give a damn about political correctness, hurting other people’s feelings, and the like.

It’s Wednesday and all hail The Kingly Moose!!!
Yesterday, I wrote the newsletter the day before, and got up at 4am to start the day.
At around 6pm or so… I decided to bike downstairs. First, though, I made sure to reheat the leftover coffee on the stove.
Shame I forgot to check that before biking.
Anywhos! After sometime, the Kingly Moose was going bananas upstairs (my exercise bike is downstairs). And after finally realizing that, I came up to find…
Yep. Boiled off coffee, a delightful scent of said boiled off coffee, and a Very Good Kingly Moose indeed (who was trying to warn me!).
“Hero moose!! The reason why he was pacing upstairs all the time (but didn’t bark alas) was because the coffee I had on the stove had boiled away.
No danger/fire alarm resulted, but you could tell the scent of burnt coffee.
The Kingly Moose shall be receiving bunches of moose bones today….”
Good stuff!
Tuesday was pretty good, all around.
